Purpose of the Job 1.Scout, develop and monitor the pump component supplier base in China Main tasks and responsibilities 1.Maintain and promote the global supplier basis in China 2.Develop, educate, collaborate and monitor suppliers to meet export business quality level and on time delivery requirements in conjunction with the Category Managers and the Sulzer sourcing teams 3.Support and develop procedures to determinate new supply sources, supplier quality relations, standardization of measurements, and acceptable criteria of seleｃted pump categories 4.Conducts audits of suppliers＇ quality control systems, quality capabilities, processes, safety and health conditions together with dedicated teams from buying factories 5.Interfaces with buying factories to resolve supplier issues and verify that suppliers understand process/product requirements 6.Monitors suppliers＇ corrective action plans and drive to completion. Demonstrates openness to supplier feedback and be willing to drive best quality business practices 7.Provide leadership on-site at supplier locations to drive team efforts and activities 8.Works as the main contact with supplier during the approval of 1st articles 9.Conducts new and regular supplier audits 10.Set up and maintain quality improvement programs for poor performing suppliers 11.Ensure compliance to Sulzer regulations and quality management systems Qualifications 1.BS Degree preferably in engineering （mechanical eng. preferred） 2.Demonstrated quality management knowledge - 3 yrs experience minimum 3.Demonstrated supplier quality inspection activities - 3 yrs experience minimum 4.Demonstrated experience in developing supplier partnerships with suppliers in China 5.Strong commitment to customer satisfaction （internal and external） 6.Experience in a manufacturing environment 7.Strong communication and influencing skills to manage supplier relationship effectively and driving meaningful changes with the internal teams 8.Proficient in Microsoft office applications. 9.Team working spirit 10.Independent and innovative thinking 11.Flexibility and ability to adapt to change 12.Job requires frequent travelling 13.Fluent English speaking and writing abilities in addition to local language 14.Working experience in pump manufacturing industry 15.Working experience for casting and/or fabrications commodity |
