Senior Technical Engineer Main Responsibilities: 1. Product design and BOM Datasheets and project kick off -Mainly deals with complex projects defined by TEC -Review the documentation provided by AE and PRO to understand any specific requirement of the product. Request any needed clarification. -When the project goes beyond a certain degree of complexity （defined by TEC） kick off meetings are required （coordinated by PRO）. Designing new parts and launching New Item Application processes -New Item Application processes are launched when necessary. Engineer must work together with QI and related departments to ensure quick progress. -When necessary, drawings must be issued. Special focus must be done on the accuracy of the drawings. -Works with the teams to ensure drawing and technical documents are clear enough. If necessary, it may be necessary to work with R&D and Europe teams to refine the specifications and drawings. Defining BOM -Must respect the process of the BOM creation and issue （First BOM dispatch for 5 main parts, second （Final） dispatch for other remain parts -If can’t meet above BOM dispatch objective, engigeer needs to discuss with project manager to get approvement. -Ensure full accuracy of the BOM and avoid any mistake is a major target for engineer. This is Primary Priority. Following progress of projects -Technical engineer has the ownership of projects. -Drawings and BOMs issue sequencing for the projects is done with a planning tool taking into account urgency of projects, complexity, load of the engineers. The rule for priorization of the various issues for the various BOM has been defined and implemented by technical project follow up table. -The efficiency of engineer （planning, respect of the rules, accuracy, etc） will be monitored as a KPI. Analysis must be done by engineer and feedback to TEC manager to improve efficiency of drawing and BOM creation process. -The engineer should keep following the progress of the projects related to the BOM they have issued, and continuously check on site the conformity of the parts to the BOM as well as the good quality of their BOM. Support operation team -Engineer will provide support to methods, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and projects in the case of issues related to product definition or manufacturing of the product. -Engineer will investigate when the performance of the pump at the final test bench is not conforming and provide solutions. Speed and accuracy are important. 2. Center of Expertise Monitoring of product performance （Continuous Improvement） -To remain aware of the performance of the products at the customer. Information can be collected from Quality, Sales, After Sales, Projects, etc. To be pro-active in investigating and understanding the failures and performance of the product. To be pro-active in proposing solutions to improve design or manufacturing process for better efficiency and performance. Work is done in cooperation with related departments. -To remain aware of the difficulties or issues that can be encountered during the manufacturing and assembly process. Information can be collected from Manufacturing, Quality, Methods, Supply Chain. To be pro-active in proposing ideas and solutions to improve these processes for better lead time, cost, and optimization of the resources. Technical support for customer related issues -To be a technical source and reference to support investigation of any customer related issues. Be pro-active in customer complaints investigation. -When expertise is not available, to communicate with R&D and sister companies to expose the issues and work together for finding solutions. Contribute to the technical knowledge and know-how development -Attend training to raise the technical knowledge and enrich the know-how of the company. -Preprare technical share meetings on a regular and active basis as a support to spreading the knowledge. Requirements: 1.University graduate or above； 2.Majored in fluid machinery or mechanism； 3.Passed CET4 or above； 4.Five years work experiences or above； 5.Good awareness of staidness and responsibility. |
