Manages site’s material planning & procurement functions. § Sets, drives improvement and reports on site’s supply chain KPI’s including； supplier quality, delivery & cost performance. § Leads and directs employee functions such as seleｃtion, hiring, and development of employees, including making salary decisions, conducting performance reviews and creating development plans. Manages training of personnel, including sponsor certifications and hands-on training. Serves as a mentor. § Monitors Buyer/Planners for proper eｘecution of material replenishment processes to ensure policies are adhered to. § Provides suppliers with demand forecasts and proactively monitors supplier’s short-term capacity （0-12 mth）. Works with suppliers to address temporary constraints and escalates potential long-term supplier capacity issues to Commodity Managers. Champions and drives Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment with key suppliers targeting at an optimal end to end supply chain. § Negotiates item pricing and special project pricing with suppliers. Involves Commodity Managers as required. § Objectively measures and communicates supplier performance to support supply chain continuous improvement efforts. Interfaces with Suppliers, Quality, Commodity Management, and Engineering to quickly resolve quality and/or delivery issues. § Provides effective support to new product development teams, bid responses, and subcontracting opportunities as they develop. § Maintains site’s SAT （Spend Analysis Tool） database. Evaluate supplier spends & part pricing to drive lowest total landed cost. § Consistent with CRANE Business System, participates, facilitates, and leads Kaizen events that will eliminate waste, improve pull and one-piece flow, and deliver breakthrough results in Growth, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost throughout the Supply Chain. § Engenders a spirit of cooperation throughout the supply chain to insure responsiveness to internal and external customers. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: § BS/BA in business or technical discipline. An MBA is desired. § Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Supply Chain-related role in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a management role. § Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/systems and logic. Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel. MS Access experience required. § Direct experience procuring products and components from low cost regions including India, China, Eastern Europe. § Direct experience implementing lean concepts （Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kaizen participation, 5S） highly desired. § Prior experience implementing a pull system/kanban approach to component flow. § Experienced using supplier performance management best-practices to drive supplier continues improvement. § Certification in APICS and ISM is highly desired. § Lean/Six Sigma certification （black belt or green belt） is desired |
