JOB DESCRIPTION
• Liaising with Ship & Suppliers for procurement of stores /spares.
• Generating Requisitions in Liaison with Technical Department
• Obtaining Quotes from Various Suppliers.
• Confirming Purchase orders, Generating LPO & liaison with Accounts/Finance for clearing Funds.
• Follow-up with suppliers for Timely delivery of stores/spares.
• Obtaining Feedback from ship on receipt & quality of Store /Spares
• Assisting Technical department in monitoring operational cost, preparing statistics & budget variations etc.,
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidate must have Purchasing & Logistic Background, preferably working experience with shipping agency. Experience in shipping company will be added value.
• Candidate should possess strong price negotiation skills especially when getting quotations and discounts
• Should have sound equipment knowledge/ spare parts for ships
• Should know documentations e.g. invoices, BL
• Strong in computers & MS Office tools
• Excellent command in written and verbal ENGLISH
